Hello. I was just wondering whether anyone has heard of any adverse interactions between being under a general anaesthetic and birth control pills..

I was on bc in March of 2001 when I had my gall bladder removed and had no problems. No unplanned pregnancy.
I made sure I talked to the surgeon that I was on birth control and wanted to know if there would be any problems. So your best bet is to talk to your surgeon before hand,like when you schedule the surgery.

Your anaesthetist is always aware of any drugs you've informed your doctor that you're on, and will adjust whatever medications he's using to sedate you accordingly.

True...They always ask what Meds you are on before surgery. Tell them all even OTC drugs. I had surgery while on BC and all was fine.
