Bleeding on Desogen...

Hi Everyone,

I am on my second pack of desogen bcps (about the second week) and I have noticed a bit of bleeding...is this normal or does it mean that the bcp is not working? I have been taking the pills at the same time everyday and have not missed any. Any ideas?

Re: Bleeding on Desogen...

Yes this is normal, your body is still adjusting which can take up to three months. One of the side effects is spotting at unusual times. Now if after ther third pack this is still happening then you should talk to your doctor and try to get switched.

Re: Bleeding on Desogen...

Hi.. as for the effectiveness.. I have had the same problem with breakthrough bleeding and my doctor says that since I didnt miss a pill, it was still effective. IF you get spotting because of a missed pill than the effectiveness is reduced. So thats a little bit of more good news!
