This may sound weird, but i just turned 28,and i seem to have gained weight in the last few months. I don't do anything any differently than i did a year ago.I am 5'2",and i weigh 116 pounds.i have never weighed this much before. My hips and thighs as well as my chest seem to be getting bigger. Is it just that my body is changing now because my biological clock is ticking? Or maybe my metabolism is changing? I have always been lucky enough to be a size 2.Now I am buying size 4.Any advice would help!
Sounds a lot like me only I did have two kids when I was in my thirties. I married at thirty and yes that is when I started adding a bit of weight and my body size in general increased. Maybe someone else has some more info for you but I know I can relate to what has happened to you.
I have also noticed this
I am going to be 27 this month and have had 2 kids
it is getting way harder to lose weight.I have not been doing anything different in the last 6 months but have put on about 8 lbs. I don't know what is going on here but I signed up for 3 excersise classes really quickly (lol)
Don't know what else to say !
Hey Brate I turn 27 this month also....and with two kids. Yeepee!!! Matter of fact I only have 5 more days until my b-day. My hubby is teasing the H*** out of me since I happen to be a wee bit older than him.
Anyway our bodies do slow down as we age. So that would explain the weight gain. At least that is what I noticed and my doctor has told me.
I am 31, and at the age of 28 I suddenly found myself slowly gaining weight, yet I was doing nothing different...in fact, I was living healthier than ever. I have had the hardest time losing. The weight certainly doesn't come off like it used to. I'm about 15-20 lbs too heavy now.
I was wondering if it was just me, but it sounds like many women face this towards their late 20s/early 30s.
Sounds like it might be the effects of the early stages of insulin resistance (very common) - increased insulin levels resulting in relatively easy fat gain and relative difficulty in losing fat. For more info, do a search on www.*********** for words like insulin resistance and/or Syndrome X.
