| Pregnant? or is her cycle just all messed up
Hi - my 22 year old daughter had her LMP on 9/25. She had been on birth control pills (I beleive Ortho Novum) for 4 month, and then a BC patch for about a year prior to that. She missed 2 pills in early October, and rather than resuming the pill pack & doubling up for a few days, she discontinued them, thinking she would get "withdrawal bleeding". It's been 5 weeks & still no period! She's taken 3 HPT and all are negative, however she has apparently been having unprotected sex with her boyfriend - 7 or 8 times, the most recent time being a few weeks ago.
She's always been very regular with her cycle, her period generally comes 2 or 3 days after taking the active BC pills, and every other time she's prematurely stopped her pill pack, she gets withdrawal bleeding within a few days.
She has had the following symptoms: increased tiredness, frequent urination, nausea, a bit of cramping 2 or 3 week ago, breast tenderness, but that's it - no cramping, no other signs of impending menustration.
What's the chances of her still being pregnant, despite the 3 negative tests? I've been told that she may have just taken them too early & that her HGC levels are just not high enough yet. I also read that some people test negative for several months into her pregnancy.
