Stopped taking the pill in October... could I be pregnant?

I stopped taking the pill at the end of my last pack which was in October. I had my period October 19th as scheduled and have not been on any birth control since. I should start my period any day, if it comes. I'm wondering if it's possible to get pregnant this soon after secession of birth control pills. I've been experiencing cramping and frequent mild headaches. No spotting yet. I took a HPT on Sunday and it was negative. It may have been too soon to take a HPT, but I'm not sure.

I had been on the pill for many years with few breaks in between. I am 30 years old and got on the pill when I was 17.

Any suggestions / thoughts?

Thanks
Court
