Talking Sore Muscles....I think!

I recently started a new job after about almost 3 years of not working full time. It has been a months and I was feeling great, not about a week now by butt and my upper thighs are very sore. not to touch but to sit, walk, up and down the stair, ( which i do often with this new job) I just don't understand why it started now and not when I first started this job, unless it could be something else. Ice, mineral ice, muscle relaxers, nothing seems to help relax it or take it way. My insurance has not kicked in yet so I can't go to the Dr. yet! i have even tried a little stretching before I go to work hoping that help...but nothing! I work the overnight shift so I am not terribly busy, I go up and down about 20 stairs maybe 5 or 6 times a night...that's it. If anyone had any ideas or suggestions, they are greatly appreciated....anything helps!!
