polyurethane and pregnant

I have a concern and it is driving me insane with worry. My wife is 22 weeks pregnant and i recently applied polyurethane to our baby to be's room. I had no idea the fumes would be as strong as they were and am now concerned with my child's health. The room i was working in was well ventilated and closed off with pillows at the bottom of the door. My wife was in another room at the end of the hall with the windows open and pillows at door. She was in no direct contact, but was able to smell it when she periodically had to use the bathroom. According to her she could not smell anything in the room other than the brief encounter in the hallway. What are the chances this could affect the baby?
