Could a cold/fever cause vaginal cold sores?

My 13 year old daughter has been sick with a cold/fever for a few days and has developed 2-3 cold sore looking places in her vaginal area. She is not sexually active. My husband had the same symptoms about a week ago and had terribly painful cold sores in the back of his throat that was not strep. He was given a Z-pac and they went away. Just wondering if this could be kind of the same thing in a different area?

Yes. Has she been to the doctor?

If she caught the cold than her immune system is already comprised she may have these sores as a result of the cold,
Take her to the doctor hopefully he will prescribe something that helps.
