 Extremely Low Estrogen?
My doctor has recently run a blood work-up for an unrelated issue, but as the results are coming up online I'm beginning to get a bit concerned. My estrogen and progesterone levels are far lower than they should be, and I mean FAR lower. According to standard levels, I have the estrogen of a postmenopausal woman...but I'm 20 and on an estrogen based birth control pill.
Can pills throw your hormones out of whack like that? And if not, then what would such low levels indicate? I'm seeing my doctor soon, but I'd like possibly a bit of peace of mind or some idea of what I'm looking at
