Hi,
I had the Novasure procedure in February of 2010. My periods stopped until last month. Now I have gotten my period for 2 months now. Has anyone else had this problem with the Novasure procedure? I was so happy to have no more periods now I'm not a happy camper

I had the novasure done about 3 years ago...my periods never stopped but did get alot lighter. My dr said it's because of my age (I was 34) apparently the older you are the better it takes?? Recently in the last year I have spotting discharge (sorry tmi) for about two weeks after my period...some times a week before. My dr says it's because the inside of my uterus has healed differently all over and sheds at different rated through the month...she said I could have it redone but because of other issues I am opting for a hysterectomy.

If you go to the website, or read the info your doctor (should have) gave you......or listened to what he verbally told you about the procedure, you would know you can't expect this procedure to absolutely stop your periods. For some women, yes, it does. But it's meant to keep you from having heavy periods. It is not uncommon for the periods to come back or never completely disappear at all.
