| Painful ovulation, discharge & low mood Hi all,
Wonder if there's anyone out there with similar symptoms who can reassure me. I am diagnosed with polycystic ovaries, but without any of the other symptoms that would indicate the syndrome. I'm not on the pill because I'd rather let my body try to ovulate normally. For 2 or 3 days in the middle of my cycle I have a terrible sharp pain just above the hip bone on one side (it moves from one side to the other depending on the month). The pain I can deal with, but I also get an alarming amount of discharge - gloopy, clear. It's embarrassing and awkward and uncomfortable. It doesn't smell bad, there's just a lot of it! And it tends to flood when I'm on the toilet having a bowel movement. Another thing - I tend to have a very upset stomach around this time, too, and my mood gets really really low, and makes me very tired.
I'm wondering if this is a normal collection of symptoms or whether I should be checked out for something like endometriosis? Any advice or experiences would be appreciated. Sometimes it's really lonely being a woman! I don't really like talking about this stuff with my partner.
Thanks. |
