Angry Do I have a Yeast Infection?

I have alot of burning and throbbing down there, and the discharge is yellow sometimes and white too. I've had yeast infections more than once and they are very annoying. I do have a appointment with my doctor this week, and I'm thinking about having him take a look down there to see what's going on.

What should I do?

Re: Do I have a Yeast Infection?

It could be yeast, or it could be something else. The classic sign of yeast is discharge that looks like cottage cheese, clumpy and lumpy.

If the yeast medicines aren't helping, though, don't keep using them. It could also be a bacterial infection or just a skin irritation.

Oh okay. For some reason it feels better today. But I think that I will have my doctor take a look to see what's going on. I've had this problem more than once, and sometimes the yeast medicines are not helping. I'll get it checked out. Thankyou for your reply.

Re: Do I have a Yeast Infection?

Yes, I agree. Yeast infections are more cottage cheese like discharge. If you have yellow discharge, that is most likely a sign of a bacterial infection like Bacterial Vaginosis. Please get checked by your doctor just to make sure, cause that can cause a lot of problems.

If you get yeast infections and stuff a lot (like I did) you might try a probiotic to help. You can try Femdophillus, or Ultimate Flora, (I used to take those) but I found a new one that seems like a higher quality and addresses the digestion/vaginal connection as well, and I haven't had an infection since. The name is BIO-V.

Good luck!

I went to my GYN a couple weeks ago and he said that the discharge looked clumpy. He took a sample of the discharge and looked at it under a microscope and said that I had a fungus going on. He said that it was a Yeast Infection. So I treated it and it is gone now. Thankyou for your advice about the Femdophillus and Ultimate Flora, I will try those.

Re: Do I have a Yeast Infection?

No problem! So very glad you got tested, and I'm glad it's gone! Probiotics really can help, so I hope you find luck in those!
