Heart rate and menstrual cycle?
**First off I feel the need to apologize...I first posted this in "Heart Disorders" before I found this forum. So I feel the need to apologize for the dual posting. But I feel it is much better placed here.
First off, I'm 25 yr old, active, exercise regularly, and eat healthy.
I've had these episodes off and on for about 10 years (shortly after my menstrual cycle started) Have been to a number of different doctors and all turn up with no answers. My menstrual cycle (besides this point) is light...light bleeding and only lasting 4 days, minimal cramping, no mood swings.
ONLY on the first day of my menstrual cycle, I experience, light headed, arms and legs tingling, extremely dizzy to the point of (and including) passing out, sudden drop in heart rate, hot sweats, then abruptly changing to a cold sweat, and rarely, but it has occurred, nausea.
Strangely, when I was on birth control for a short period of time (4-5 months?) all symptoms weakened, or did not present, could it be hormonal?
I'm just curious if any other women out there have experienced this. It would be nice to know I'm not alone, but mainly I would like to know what's causing this.
