Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Hi there,

I was diagnosed with PCOS 10 years ago and although it has never affected me directly, I have always had very irregular periods. Originally I was on the pill as prescribed by my doctor but 3 years ago, I came off the pill and my periods have ranged from being 3 weeks apart to 7-8 weeks apart. I just wanted to know if this is normal?

Also, when I have my period, I usually bleed for roughly 2 days (fairly light), go off for roughly 1 day, then get a fairly heavy period for about another 5 days. Is this normal?

Thank you for any advice/info you give me,
Gill
