Question Catheter issue after Cyst issue

So i have had severe pain from an ovarian cyst and went to the ER today. It hadnt ruptured but the Dr. wanted to do an ultrasound. a nurse put in a catheter and said it would be uncomfortable but not hurt. She Lied! I was screaming when she put it in and couldnt move after because it hurt to do anything. It was in for about an hour. The dr. said well just keep following up with your dr about the cyst. Since then i have tried to pee twice and it is excruciating and i cant help but cry. Now i have been in bed since i was released and i have a really bad stomach ach which i didnt have before. My mom had a catheter put in before and said she didnt have any of these problems. Is this normal and should i call the ER
