Re: lost tampon

Hello, I never experience a lost tampon before but a female can have symptoms like vaginal discharge, foul odor, abdominal discomfort, pelvic pressure or pain, dizziness, fever, vaginal itching, uncomfortable or painful sex. Also if a tampon is not removed it can lead to a problem known as toxic shock syndrome which is a rare but dangerous bacterial infection. Symptoms of TSS include dizziness, high fever, headache, muscle ache, and a sunburn-like rash. See a doctor as soon as possible if you suspect that you might have toxic shock syndrome.

Re: lost tampon

I think you need to get to the ER as soon as possible to get it removed. The longer it stays in there, the more of a chance that the infection you probably already have could get much worse and you could end up very, very sick.

Why haven't you already gone to get it removed? You need to take care of this right away, I'm deadly serious. You could possibly die from an infection if you leave it in there too long.
