Hello, I never experience a lost tampon before but a female can have symptoms like vaginal discharge, foul odor, abdominal discomfort, pelvic pressure or pain, dizziness, fever, vaginal itching, uncomfortable or painful sex. Also if a tampon is not removed it can lead to a problem known as toxic shock syndrome which is a rare but dangerous bacterial infection. Symptoms of TSS include dizziness, high fever, headache, muscle ache, and a sunburn-like rash. See a doctor as soon as possible if you suspect that you might have toxic shock syndrome.
