| External vaginal itching from yeast infection
I found out Thursday that I have a yeast infection. I was very raw and swollen externally (labia, clitoris). I took Dilfucan on Thursday, and I'm supposed to take another on Monday. The swelling has gone down and it's mostly dry now. My problem is it's still very itchy; especially when I'm walking around, but also when I'm sitting and lying down. It's becoming difficult to make it through work and college classes because of this. I'm calling my Gynecologst on Monday if it isn't better. I'm wondering if the Diflucan pill will eventually get rid of the itching. Is the itching being caused by yeast still on the outside of my vagina, or is it because its irritated from the itching? The itching is mainly on my clitoris and around that immediate area. The only thing that helps it is Vagisil.
