I've been on LoestrinFe 24 for 6 weeks and 2 days now. I began taking it to help clear a bunch of uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts. It's been awhile since I've been on birth control as we'd been actively trying to conceive prior to this, but found I have so many fibroids that it would be impossible for me to sustain a pregnancy (if a fertilized egg even found a place to implant ). I'm only taking it for 3 cycles.

Yesterday, I started having breakthrough bleeding. I've never experienced this before. It was brown blood with clots. (sorry TMI) Today it's more of the same only with really bad cramping. Does anyone have experience with this? I didn't think breakthrough bleeding meant you'd get cramps, too. Then again I have no clue.

My other thought is maybe this isn't breakthrough bleeding, but some freaky thing going on with either the fibroids or cysts? I figure I'll ask the doc Monday, but I hate not having a clue until then. Anyone have any experiences?

(I may cross post this if I can find a place for fibroids and cysts to do so, but all help greatly appreciated!)
