For a few months now i've had heavy thick and white discharge, so i went to my doctor and he sent me to have swab tests done, so i did and it come back that i had no infection, he says that it could be my hormones or just something that will go in time but it cannot be treated due to no infection at all.
Is there anything i can do at all to stop this discharge?
I am on the pill, have been for just under 2 years, do you think if i tried coming off the pill for a while, it could make any difference.
Hi, hormones may of cause the thick white discharge. Birth control pills can cause the texture of the discharge to change. If a female recently started or stopped using the birth control pill or switched to a new one hormonal fluctuations could be the cause. It can also be dictated by the different stages of your menstrual cycle. Many women produce more fluid during ovulation. Thick white discharge is common at the beginning and end of a female's cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Thanks for that, it really helped.
It doesn't smell and it doesn't itch either, i'm wondering whether to come off the pill for a few months to see if it makes any difference.
Your welcome. It might it might not make a difference. Menstrual cycle has a significant affect on the type of vaginal discharge you experience throughout the month.
