Question Urethra inflammation? No idea

I have seen 3 doctors in the last 3 months, 2 thought I had a UTI (urinary tract infection), one said yeast infection. My symptoms have always stayed the same, even after meds (macrobid, cipro XL & over the counter yeast infection oral meds and creams).

Symptoms include: burning, stinging, no discharge or odour and DOES NOT hurt when I urinate. It feels like my urethra opening is swollen/full (but if it doesn't hurt when I pee, is that possible?). The pain increases when sitting and gets MUCH worse in the evenings, tylenol helps to relive pain, pain decreases/disappears during my period. I'm sure this is too much info, however when I put a finger in my vagina, or insert a tampon it doesn't hurt, that's how I know it's my urethra (I think! )

One of the Dr's above did an internal exam, other than saying that all 'looked normal and no signs of STD's', he did a swab which came back negative for trichomonas, yeast or gardnerella (but at the time gave me a prescription for a yeast infection anyway...UGH!). No sores/lumps/bumps in vaginal area.

Any ideas?
