Dairy Free & Menstrual Changes?
My cycles used to be an fairly average length - usually around 27-29 days. Occasionally, I'd get a longer cycle (say 31 days), but it was usually ok. However, as I was having some GI problems, I drastically cut back on the amount of dairy products I consume. I've been reducing dairy for about 7 months now and I've noticed a strong correlation between dairy consumption and the length of my menstrual cycle. The less dairy I consume, the shorter my cycle is. I'm now getting it about every 23/24 days (sometimes as short as 21 days), which is SO FRUSTRATING! (Especially as my PMS is really quite bad!).
Can anyone explain why dairy makes such a difference to my cycle?
