Chronic Yeast Infection

Hello,

I've come across a lot of posts from ladies who are experiencing something very similar to me. For the past 8 months I have had a yeast infection. It has never gone away. I don't experience any severe itching, the main symptom is this white discharge that has distinct odor to it. I have taken so many diflucan pills, none of which have worked. I did the terconazol cream for 7 nights, monistat 3, also unsuccessful. I then had surgery on my hymen because it was so thick, and the doctor said it would help, but of course, it didn't. the last treatment I tried was two weeks of two boric acid tablets daily. I had high hopes as it appeared to be working. I didn't feel any sort of discomfort down there at all. Today is my second day off the pills, and the yeat discharge is back. I am feeling so depressed and hopeless. Does anyone who has had this problem ever figured it out? I am going crazy and I don't know what to do.

Re: Chronic Yeast Infection

It may not be a yeast infection. Have you had it cultured? Also, if you have a partner, has he been checked? You could be passing it back and forth.

Re: Chronic Yeast Infection

It has been cultured and my doctor said she sees lots of yeast. I have been tested for stds and those are all negative. my partner doesn't have any symptoms, i know that doesn't necessarily matter but when i was on the diflucan and the flucozonale we abstained from sex so i don't think that is the reason.
