Free Fluid in Endocervical Canal???
I am 39 years old (will be 40 in a month)...
I just had a followup Transabdominal and Transvaginal Pelvic Ultrasound as a follow-up to check on an ovarian cyst.
IS THE FREE FLUID IN ENDOCERVICAL CANAL normal as my doctor suggests?
Before anything I'd like to note that my doctor says none of this is anything t o worry about. But, I am considering going for a second opinion.
Some of my history:
I have 3 children, most recent was 8/17/2010
I also had my tubes cut/tied and burned at this time.
The report shows the following:
The uterus is 11.4 x 4.3 x 6.0cm
The endometrium is 0.5cm
The uterus is anteverted and enlarged with an intramural fundal posterior fibroid measuring 2.1 x 1.3 x 1.5cm.
There is free fluid in the endocervical canal measuring 0.2cm.
The right ovary is 3.1 x 2.4 x 3.1cm with a complex cyst measuring 2.1 x 1.2 x 1.4cm with internal echoes, but no significant increased color flow.
The left ovary is 3.3 x 2.4 x 2.8cm. There are no ovarian or adnexal cystic lesions. There is a dominant follicle measuring 1.6 x 1.0 x 1.2cm.
Color flow images demonstrate normal ovarian flow bilaterally.
1. Complex right ovarian cyst without significant increased color flow. Follow up ultrasound in 6-8 weeks suggested to ensure resolution.
2. Fundal posterior intramural fibroid
