Strange lump on inside of upper thigh?
Hi,
I am a teenager. For a few months there has been a small bump (about an eighth of an inch in diameter) on the inside of my upper thigh; about an inch down from my "private parts". There was no pain and if I pushed it it would just go down, so I figured it was just some extra skin. Yesterday it started to itch, which I thought was strange but ignored it.
Earlier today it started to itch again so I scratched the area around it only to find that it was hard. I pushed on the bump to find that it too was hard and painful to the touch.
So long story short, there's a lump around an inch wide in the inside of my upper thigh.
I don't think my family has any history with cancer, and I honestly have no idea what it could be.
I'm home alone for the weekend so there's no one to take me to get it examined. I'm worried because the lump seemed to develop quickly; either that or I didn't notice.
Does anyone have any insight or idea, please? I'm really scared it might be something serious.
Edit: I held a warm washcloth for a couple minutes and when I lifted it to adjust it I noticed there was blood. I examined the bump and there was an opening in the middle and there was some kind of liquid coming out. I squeezed the lump and it seemed to push more liquid out. I will keep the cloth on for the time being to see if the lump drains.
Edit 2: the lump is still there. I took a picture of the bump, this is about twenty four hours after it drained a bit. Here is what it looked like:
