Question Can anyone relate to my problems or tell me what may be wrong?

To give a little background before i go on,
I Started puberty quite late on in my
teenage years due to my difficult birth.
(this is what some doctors whom i have
spoken with believe) I was 15 before i
started my periods and the very first one
gave me the most dreadfully painful
cramp i have ever experienced.
Ever since then my periods have been
very few and far between. On average i
get three periods in one year. i never get
any warning signs of them coming nor
do i ever experience symptoms of PMT
throughout the time they are there. Over
the past three years i have been
experiencing increasing 'shooting pains'
between my hips at random times all
through the day and this happens at
least once a week and over the past two
months i have had what appear to be
moments where my periods have 'tried'
to start but it's as if they have failed to
appear properly. The first time this
happened was a day after i had sex with
my partner. I bled once that time and
then seemed to disappear as if it never
happened at all then two weeks later it
happened again (although this time i
can't see what could have set it off)
although when it happened it was like a
clot and very heavy it again last only that
one time and didn't happen again
afterwards.
Now, today i have experience the same
thing again, one week later.
I have been tested time and time again
for P.C.O.S. I've had blood works done to
test for hormonal imbalances by nearly
all of the doctors at my doctor's practice
and in the past year I've been sent for
two ultra-sound scans and been referred
to a gynaecologist once. The first
ultrasound scan had came back showing
that i had one large cyst on my left ovary
and two small ones on my right. About a
month later i went back for another at
the request of the gynaecologist and the
results of that ultrasound scan were that
there were no cysts at all on either ovary.
it's just seems like the doctors have
totally lost interest in my case here, they
just don't care anymore.
Me and my partner have been trying to
have kids for the past two years now and
we just can't seem to make it happen.
The doctors i have spoken to know that
we want to have kids and still they seem
so uninterested in my whole problem.
They just don't seem to care about my
health or helping me. It's very distressing
to have my doctors turn me away all of
the time without trying to find out the
cause of my problems or trying to treat
me for it.
What i want to know is does anyone else
have the problems or know the cause of
them.
If it's not P.C.O.S then what else could be
the cause?
Thanks very much!

P.S My partner doesn't have anything
wrong with him, he's been tested and
he's fine.
Also thanks to anyone who has bothered
to read this very long winded question.
I should probably also mention that i
have been diagnosed with and treated
for epilepsy (with Lamotrigine) since the
age of eight.

Re: Can anyone relate to my problems or tell me what may be wrong?

I would suspect you are not ovulating for some reason. This is a common cause of infertility and infrequent periods. Were your estrogen levels adequate on blood tests? Do you have an infertility specialist in your area? There are medications that can help you ovulate (clomiphene or Clomid). You could try doing basal body temperatures to confirm no ovulation. If estrogen is inadequate, that will cause no periods also, and no pregnancies. Underactive thyroid hormone production can also interfere with menses and fertility, so thyroid hormones should be checked as well. Good luck. I hope you have more cooperation from another Dr.
