 bladder infection and period
I'm in my late 40's. After my divorce, I had one 4 year relationship, we were sexually active. After that relationship ended, I was inactive for 8 months, and recently started seeing someone, and we became intimate 2 weeks ago. 9 days later I am experiencing what I first thought to be a bladder infection, because of the sharp pain at the end of urinating, then blood appeared, spotting at first, then more, dark and stringy. Then more blood, like a heavy period with small to large clots being passed. I drank 64 oz of 100% cranberry juice, (no sugar just straight cranberry juice) and chased each glass of juice with equal water. The pain has stopped two days later, but the bleeding continues. I am not sure if I obtained a bladder infection just as my period started, or if it brought my period on, or if there is a more serious issue happening here. About three days prior to all this beginning, i was experiencing lower back pain, and some fatigue. Other than that, no other symptoms. No fever, 99.1 isn't a fever is it? The person I have been seeing is larger than I am used to, and I'm pretty sure he hit my cervix, it was some what painful but nothing I couldn't breathe through. I have no idea if any of this is related or important to each other or not. Coincidence of each other? Mildly painful sex, bladder infection and period? is this possible? or Is something more important happening with me?
