Hello, I hope there is someone who can respond to me on here! I have searches the Internet but can't find my answer! I had sex 2 months ago and I did had my period late which was about 2 weeks ago, but I have just noticed myself getting blotchy red blood coming from me, it's dark! I'm just really worried about weather I could of been pregnant and not known? Or am I just over thinking? It's just so sudden.
If the sex was unprotected, I would go to the drugstore and run a pregnancy test. Having a late period and now midcycle spotting can happen in pregnancy, and you need to know one way or the other. If it is positive, and your bleeding increases with cramping, you need to be in touch with a GYN in case you miscarry and need medical attention. Dark blood just means you are bleeding slowly as opposed to heavier bleeding that is bright red. If your late period was also lighter than usual, pregnancy is more likely. In my cicumstanxe the other question that was on my mind was if I'd had a miscarriage? I didn't know if it was possible with my other period but then now I've had bleeding?
The spotting you are describing now is not the kind of bleeding that occurs in a miscarriage. You would bleed and cramp heavily and pass clots and tissue. So I don't think you have miscarried, and spotting is common in early pregancy, especially around the time for your usual period. You just need to know so if you run into trouble, you'll know what is happening and can get medical care. Blood tests for pregancy are more sensitive so that is an option too thru your Dr office.
