Question Still Flashing at 67

Does anyone know how long hot flashes can last? I'm 67 and still having them 3 to 5 times a day and once or twice a night. My doc prescribed Zoloft in 2008 after I had a total hysterectomy for ovarian cancer. Before the cancer was discovered, I had taken Premarin for 18 years, but had to quit because of the cancer. I'm now taking 100 mg Zoloft every day. I still have hot flashes, although they're not as intense as they once were. I sure wish they would go away. Is anyone out there older than me who is still flashing?

Re: Still Flashing at 67

I am younger than you and have been having hot flashes and night sweats like crazy for the past four years. When I spoke to my gynecologist, I am unhappy to have to tell you that he said that some women always have this issue. Let's hope it's not you....sorry for your discomfort. Thank God you are cancer free.
I went on Premarin for about six weeks and oh my gosh, it was a miracle drug, but then I started getting breasts cysts and decided to go off it.
