Smile Burning Sensation & Pain in my left breast

Hi,
I've just recently joined and would like some advice please.
For some time now every month around the time of my period I have been getting a very sharp, burning pain in my left breast. It started a while back, I did have it checked out and was told it probably was/is a cyst.
It happens every month but what got me concerned is that this month it is more painful then previous months. Usually it occurs on the left side of the left breast but now it started on the right side of the left breast close to my chest and 2 days ago I thought I would die from the pain. The pain has subsided but my breast is very sensitive to the touch (every month) and the pain seems to be in the distance (if I can explain it like that).
Can someone please shed some light on this, has this happened to anyone else and could it be cancer?

Any comments and advice are most welcome.
Thank you
Anita
