Re: left adnexal cyst

Hi lugerisa, ovarian cysts come in many forms. But the fact that the ct said cyst instead of mass indicates that it is fluid filled. So, as far as what i think you are worried about. No, that would say mass. What did your dr say, if its ok to ask? Hopefully, it will just get absorbed by your body like most ovarian cysts do. Oh, did the report say that it was on ovary? Thank you, gmak

Re: left adnexal cyst

Lugerlisa, your fallopian tubes & ovaries are called your adnexa. So, how post menopause are you, if ok to ask? Did you go to dr for symptoms or regular exam? Did he feel it during pelvic exam? The nurse seemed unconcerned because it will probably go away. How do you feel though? Pain? Where? How bad?

Re: left adnexal cyst

I a 10 yrs post menopause. It was found during a catscan done at UW Madison while they were doing my yearly cat on my Pancreas as had The Whipple Procedure done 4 years ago for a non cancerous tumor on my pancreas. They also found some wedge shaped regions on my liver low attenuation along the falciforn ligament and inferior hepatic lobe , cysts in my kidney and a slightly swollen left adrenal gland. But was told to talk the other things they found with my Dr. as she just deals with the pancreas. I don't think the my Dr here and the one in Madison communicate with one another and I am left hanging. Thankyou for replying so soon. gmak

Re: left adnexal cyst

Hi lugerlisa, Usually, the same type of dr that treats pancreas' & livers are the same kind.At the place where you had the surgery, in madison, surely they have hepatic or liver specialists. Dr. Joseph galati in houston is a top liver transplant dr but sees regular liver patients, too. Maybe if you call his office they can tell you someone there. Adrenals would be endocrinologist, but maybe a nephrologist, kidney only dr could tell you about adrenal too. Since adrenal gland sits on top of kidney. Call your dr back & ask if there is someone @ the same univ med clinic or hospital that they could give you info on. Glad pancreas good. I will think more& will let you know. But, please keep me posted. Oh! Why dont you make appt with internist, internal medicine deals with all body systems. Get results & then he/ she can refer accordingly. Thank you, gmak
