| My period won't stop. Help!
I have been on Nuvaring since March and haven't had any issues with it. I left it in for 28 days instead of 24 and was 2 days later than normal putting a new ring in. Here's how things have been going...
October 24th - Period started while ring was still in (it should have been removed a week early but is supposed to be good for up to 28 days so I should have still been okay).
October 26th - Heavier, normal period starts
October 28th - I inserted a new ring
Today is November 8th and I am still having a period. It has been 15 days since I have started spotting and having a period.
Sometimes it's red blood and sometimes it's a brown, light discharge.
I have read where some people say to take it out for 4 days, store the ring, bleed it out and then put it back in. I was under the impression my body just needed to adjust to it.
What is going on? Has anyone experienced this before?
