Hi
Just some background, I have been married for almost 3 years now and just left the pill in June 2012.
Last week , my husband and I went on holiday and we used a condom, ever since then,(after use of the condom) I experienced an itchiness in my vagina and its lasting for a week now, the itchiness is subsiding but I find there is an odour that I never had before. Not really any discharge just the itchiness and odour. I have never ever had any odour or any infection before , now Im not sure what this could be. The only thing I could think of is maybe an infection from the condom? Pls help
We were both virgins when we married so there is no question of any STDs
And we are married for 3 years, I never had this issue when I was on the pill.
PLease help

It could be condom allergic. I think it's time to move for spiral or another type of contraception. According to gyno's nurse, she found out this symptom a lot for marriedwoman whose husband frequently use condoms. But my wife's sisters also suggested the same, going for spiral. They also got the same symptoms with condoms.

I would guess you're having a reaction to the condom or the lube or spermicide it came in. It should have cleared up in a few days once your natural pH returned. Have you been doing anything in the mean time?

If it doesn't clear up by itself in a few more days, you should probably see a doctor.
