Vaginal burning for 2 months

Hi, i have had a burning vulva for 7 weeks that started a few days after having unprotected sex and the dr. Can not figure out what is causing it. Was treated for yeast twice, then treated for bv, was tested for stds twice that were negative. I had no sores or blisters but the dr did a herpes culture which of course came back negative. then 2 weeks later i found a couple of cuts near my inner labia and urethra. Dr said it was irritation from my discharge but went ahead and did another herpes culture which came back negative and my blood test is still negative so far. I know i need to wait atleast 12 weeks before getting a more accurate blood test though. now the dr has me using estrace cream that I started Monday, but I'm only 24 years old!! Can I please have some advice?

Re: Vaginal burning for 2 months

Hi. I'm sorry a bout your vaginal burning. There's a condition called Vulvodynia that can cause burning, aching, stinging, dryness, pain during and after intercourse. Estrace cream is often prescribed even if you'r too young to be menopausal. I've been using it for years and it's helped a lot. There are other treatments to try such as low dose anti-depressants, Acupuncture, etc.

Re: Vaginal burning for 2 months

Hey so are you on Birth Control? If you are it means its time to change. I went through this myself for 4 months. It was the worst 4 months of my life. I kept going back to the doctor and ER thinking I had something wrong with me and I came out clean. I finally had my BC changed and I feel much better. However what you said does sound a lot like me too. Hmm.
