Diagnosed with an ovarian cyst - need some help.
(I'm a 17 year-old, first time getting a cyst)
I had a dull ache in my right lower abdomen for about 2 weeks. It got progressively worse and one night it got really bad, so I rushed to the ER (I was scared it was something going on with my appendix, because I had a low-grade fever (37.2C).) They run a blood test and it haven't showed any kind of inflammation. I was sent to see a gynecologist right away. She did an ultrasound and found 4,8cm x 3,5cm (1,9in x 1,4in) cyst on my right ovary. I was sent home with some painkillers and birth control pills.
It has been almost a week since I was sent home, but the pain doesn't get better. It's this ache that radiates from my lower abdomen to my navel and sometimes to my lower back. Now it's usually around my belly button. Sometimes it's sharp, but usually just an annoying ache. I feel generally ill all the time: light-headed, sometimes have a low-grade fever (up to 37.3C) (I ran another blood test, but it didn't show any signs of infection once again and I don't have a cold or a flu). My next appointment is in 3 weeks, but I'm really scared that there's something wrong with me and it's my appendix that's acting up.
Is it normal to have pain from ovarian cyst radiating all the way up to the navel? Because the ovary itself is much lower. And did anyone experience low-grade fever alongside with the pain?
I would really appreciate if someone could give me some answers, because I'm going out of my mind.
