Triqular is a birth control pill (you may already know this). Although it forces a "period" it's not a true period in that you aren't ovulating hence pregnancy cannot occur. The lack of periods when not on Triqular also means you aren't ovulating. A doctor would need to do some tests to determine why this is happening.
A number of endocrine or metabolic problems can cause this. One metabolic condition that comes to mind is PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome). Lack of periods is a common symptom of PCOS. Other traits are also commonly seen. Do a web search and read up on it. But there are many other possibilities such as thyroid, pituitary, adrenals, etc. Do some research on various causes of lack of menstruation and then see a doctor. In the U.S., a gynecologist or endocrinologist is the type of specialist one would see for this type of health issue. Hope you get some answers soon!
