First of all, if anyone is going to give me advice, please don't tell me to go to the doctor!!! I am going on Tuesday but before I go, I really would like an idea of what I may have.
I have have a burning sensation in my vagina on and off for about 7 months. I have no other symptoms! No bumps, rash or discharge, just the burning and ocassionally some redness. I doubt it's a yeast infection because i took Difulcan. Does anyone know hat this is??? Please help it annoying and scary and I don't want to be shocked when I go to the doctor.
Thanks
Are you dry? I had dryness, irritation, and redness. When I went to the doctor, I was tested for diabetes. I was then diagnosed. That was just my case. Good luck.

The only thing I have ever had with burning was a yeast infection one time, maybe the medicine you took for it wasn't strong enough or just didn't help you. I am sorry you are scared but i'm sure the doctor will fix you right up and it won't be a big deal....But why have you waited so long to go to the doctor about it?
take care
I have something simular to this called vulvadynia, which is something extremely rare in woman. Like you i had symptoms for months, but I went to the doctor many times. They gave me medicines for yeast infections, vaginitis and everything else you can think of. Finally I researched it myself and found out about this vulvadynia and told the doctor, and thats when I got some real relief. Here were some of my symptoms, always misdiagnoised, burning and inflamation, redness, pain really bad after intercourse, and sometimes so irritated that it hurt when my urine rolled off. Well I hope this is not what you have, but if so I also hope I helpped you.
Anyways, you might want to know they prescribed me elavil and estrace cream. The estrace cream didn't help much but the elavil helpped alot. Also if it gets really bad use a really cold wash cloth, that always seems to help me. bye

I had the same symptoms. I went to the gyn & was treated multiple times for yeast infections. No relief! I moved, & ended up with a new gyn (due to insurance changes) who did a culture & gave me a bunch of antibiotics, because I had a year & 1/2 long bacterial infection.

I also was treated for bacterial infections and it didn't help. But that is a possibility for her.
Sorry, I didn't mean for it to sound like I was saying you were wrong or something. On the contrary, I was pointing out that I had the same symptoms is really all. Anything's a possibility really.
(I got my infection 2x from the 2 boyfriends I had who had slept with the same nasty loose girl--it's a long story)
