hi i am 17 and about a month ago i started having bad pain in my r-side. The DR. thought it was my appindex, but test showed i had a cyst on my ovary about 4cm. I can tolerate pain good but man it hurts. I would go to a gyno, but i just moved out of my adoptive parents house into my real mom's house. she is poor so i cant afford a doctor visit now any way. If i did go back to another doc does anyone know what they would do. the pain lessed after a while last month but i can't be in pain always. i was supposed to have a ultrasound to see if the size changed or it went away but like i said i moved.
I'm no doctor but I have some personal experience on this matter. The doctor would probably try and get you in for that ultrasound and/or start you on the pill, which stops you from ovulating. But you might have to get it removed surgically if it's too big or causes you too many problems.
okay my sis had one like 7 years ago
she kept missing her period
and since she was afraid to think that the family would think she was pregnant, she told no one
until sumtin really bad
she had a cyst the size of a grape fruit on her ovary
she had to get her ovary removed
she was told that her BC pills caused it, the doc gave her the wrong kind,
there are certain types that CAN cause them, and then there are ones that can help prevent em
ok when i was 16 i had a cyst on my ovary that was 13 cm was ok i went home they do cause pain and it is uncomfortable.. then one night i was babysitting and i was rushed into hospital it burst BUT it w as 25cm then and i was soooo lucky..... now i got one ovary and it is full of tiny little cysts that burst sometimes.. but nothing to worry about.. you will be fine... when you feel alot of pain so much that you cant move and you run a fever and there is alot of fluid and blood coming from your vagina then worry... usually they go on their own... i listed the danger signs for you, and i know as ive been through it... so chill u will be ok
