Josie,
I understand exactly what you said about being embarrassed about the skin tags. I have one and feel exactly the same way. It's not painful, altho it gets irritated sometimes, as do the internal hemorrhoids I apparently have. But I'm going to have it fixed more because of how it makes me feel about my body. It's just a very personal decision.
I saw a surgeon today and will be scheduling surgery as soon as she can do it. A skin tag cannot be just rubberbanded, unfortunately. I asked. My doctor said she will remove the internal hemorrhoids and the skin tag surgically, a same-day surgery under general anesthesia. I'm dreading it, but I'm just going to do it and get it over with.

: Can anyone tell me if there is hope for a person with skin tags? :
: I am in a new relationship with a man and I find it very embarrasing that he may eventually see this.
: Does anyone know if these external skin tags can be removed? I cannot find much information about this but read something about hemmroids being removed with tight elastics. Not sure if I fall into this category.
: Any information will be apprecitated.
