Dear Susan,
Thank you for being so willing to share your experience with me. At the present the only female dr. I have is my gynecologest. I think I could feel comfortable talking to her about it, but I suppose after that she'll refer me to (most likely male) a surgeon.
Like yourself, mine can become very uncomfortable, swelling, itching and sometimes bleeding a bit. That would be my focus when telling the doctor because those things really can be bothersome to me...actually painful at times.
For my own personal reasons though, I hate the look of them and feel that this is causing me emotional stress due to the fact that I feel inhibited by them. As I mentioned in my first post, I am in a new relationship, (actually it's not so new but just starting to move in a different direction) and I just want to feel good about myself.
Once again, thank you for sharing this with me. I'll be waiting to hear when your date is.
Josie
