: My daughter(52) had 12 inches of colon removed(metastic endometrial adenocarcinoma) 1 yr ago, and still has gastrointestinal discomfort. She is concerned that this is not normal. Any advise?

Hi Bert,
I know several people that have had part colon of their colon removed and have no discomfort. One only has 2 feet of colon remaining. I think most people do not get enough water soluble in their diet. She should be taking some to help the colon function properly.
God Bless----Harry
