Hi,

After a colon check 2 years ago I was told I have UC and have been on a nightly enema of Rowasa ... Asolcol didn't help much after awhile.

Since then I've developed some internal hemroids which of course bleed for "long" periods of time. I've also started getting lower back pains this past two weeks.

Speaking with my Doc, I hinted that maybe we should take another look at the colon to make sure nothing has changed in two years. The Doc. advised that we should wait another year before doing the check again.

Is this correct? How often should one with UC have the scope of the colon done? Is all this bleeding and pain in the butt hemroids?
