: My name is Chris. I'm a 25 year old female who has a pineal cyst. I haven't noticed any symptoms due to the cyst. My migraines are caused by a craniotomy (brain surgery) I had to remove a tumor in my right temporal lobe. Does anyone have a pineal cyst that they have no symptoms from?
All the rest of you have symptoms except for me. Help!! This is one topic I don't clearly understand.
: My name is Steven and I'm a soldier in the United States Army. I too was just told today that I have a cyst near the Pineal Gland. Mine was found on a CT Scan and I have yet to have an MRI. I, like most of you from what I've read, have also suffered from migraines since I was very young. (No, the Army wasn't told when I joined :-) ) I have also had series' of visual problems as well including spots, blurry sections, trouble focusing, and the like. Funny things is that when I recieved my first CT scan five years ago when I was 15 everything was normal. The military doctors here are almost positive that my migraines are directly related, if not caused by my cyst. Whether intrusive methods will be needed they can't say yet. I've spoken with family members who are in the medical profession and have been told that treatment is only required if the cysts cause hydrocephalus or intense visions problems.
: I would be appreciative to hear how all of you are doing as your information may help me. I will do the same with any information I find out. Thank you for your time.
: : I am 23, a mother of two young children4,1 and a wife to a wonderful man:-) But I was just told today that I have a pineal cyst (which they put it) in the third eye area. I don't know much about it. I have had severe migranes and headaches for the past two months. Needless to say, I get lightheaded at times and I usually get hot or feel hot then get lightheaded just as the migrane comes in. I read all the posts and I see all of us have headaches and the Dr. are telling us it's not related to the pineal cyst. How is that not possible? Are there any good web sites to get good information on? Any help would be grand and yes you may e-mail me direct.
