For the past 14 years, I have had what I call "white outs"; It starts with hot flashes, dizziness, weakness, nausea and a feeling of fainting. Then I start to lose my vision- everything goes white. I can hear but it's like hearing down a tunnel. Afterwards I am left with a horrible headache, sensitive to only light. Periodically, I also have a sharp pain in my left temple. I have had many tests to no avail. They have ruled out seizures, migrains and allergies. In the past few years, I have also started having leg twitches, especially at night. They feel like an itch that suddenly makes my leg jump. In the past year that same itch sensation has spread to various parts of my body; arms, neck, face. The "white outs" seem to be related to the fact that I have extrmemely low blood pressure which led me to research neurally mediated hypotension and eventually brought me to this message board. I no longer have health insurance and as a single mother of 4, I can not afford to see a doc. Of course I would see a doc if I had a possible diagnosis to test on, rather then waste my $$$ once again for some quack to say, "Gee, I don't know. Let's run a bunch of expensive and non-related tests". Do my symptoms sound familiar to any diagnosis that I can actual have the doc focus on??
