: I was diagnosed with a pineal cyst on my brain, near my brain stem in my early 20's. I have suffered from severe head aches all of my life - in the back right upper portion of my head. The doctors I have gone to believe that the headaches are directly related to the constriction of the blood flow in my brain caused by the cyst.
: I am now 29; I have gone to the University of Michigan head Pain Clinic and was treated by Dr. Joel Saper himself and the Johns Hopkins University of Head Pain Clinic and treated by Dr. Marco Pappagallo - both within the last 4-5 years. Neither were able to help treat the head pain without a severe amount of medicine that makes it impossible for me to function.
: Needless to say, I haven't found any help yet - despite some large medical bills now that I am paying off. I'm sorry that I don't have any good news yet...but I keep searching! There has got to be something or someone out there that can help people with brain cysts. If I find anything - I'll write you back! Good luck & keep your chin up ---
Have you tried taking Nortryptiline? I have debilitating headaches cause unknown, and have found some relief from this medication. It might be worth a try.
