my daughter has a pineal cyst, and has no symptoms. It was an incidental finding while having an MRI for a seizure. (Her grand mal seizure could not have been caused by a disturbance in this area of the brain.) Unfortunately, her cyst is accompanied by a solid mass. It has been six months from first diagnosis and there has been no growth and no symptoms. From my readings, most cysts do not cause symptoms, but are incidental finding while looking for other things, most commonly for the cause of migraines. Most reports state that even is the cyst is drained or removed, there is no improvement in the headaches.
