I am so sorry to hear about the trauma you experienced during your accident.
When you placed the Kleenex in your ear to absorb the fluid, did you notice any reddish-looking "rings" on the Kleenex? If you did, that was Cerebral Spinal Fluid draining into your ear canal, and that is quite serious. I am surprised that your physicians did not take your symptoms more serious. In fact, I find it odd.
Please contact "The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential," in Philadelphia, PA. Their number is (215) 233-2050 x313 (Harriet Pinsker). Their website is: www.iahp.org
Though the Institutes now basically deals only with brain-injured children, they invite brain-injured adults and other supportive family members to attend their lectures, to learn how to do a home program for "neurologically organizing" the brain. They have been dealing with brain-injured individuals for almost 50 years. They may have the answers you are looking for.
A damaged brain, whether mild, moderate, severe or profoundly brain-injured, becomes neurologically "dis-organized," and it is necessary to organize it again, when possible, for normal sensory and motor function to resume.
