: I have been experienceing "internal tremors"
: for 3 months. The neurologist are not certain
: they are essential tremor. Has anyone experienced
: the same type tremor? I have been taking ativan
: for 1 month and it has helped.

I have been having internal tremors for about 6 years. They started with sudden onset and I saw several doctors...none of whom could figure out what was going on with me so I finally stopped going to them. I feel them particularly when I am resting or in a lying down position. I feel them in various parts of my body but primarily in the trunk area and occasionally in my arms and legs. At first they kept me awake at night but over time I have learned to just deal with the situation. They haven't gotten worse over the years or manifested into any other symptoms so I guess I am stable at this point. It is very frustrating as no one else can see them or understand what they feel like. I am searching the internet now for clues. It seems to be a most unusual symptom to have. Hope we can find answers soon.
