: 1. What causes raised intercranial pressure?
: 2. Is shunt the only way to treat a raised intercranial pressure?
I BELIEVE A SHUNT IS THE TREATMENT OF LAST RESORT. yOUR NEUROLOGIST MAY ELECT TO TREAT YOU WITH LUMBAR PUNCTURES OR WITH MEDICATION.IT MAY BE CAUSED BY A TUMOR OR I BELIEVE BY AN ENDOCRINE PROBLEM.
IN MOST CASES THE CAUSE IS UNKNOWN.
