My 7 year old son was diagnosed yesterday with pseudo tumor cerebri. He was complaining of headaches for the last couple of months and I took him to his pediatrician. His doctor recommended we see the eye doctor and he tested my son and diagnosed him as having a papilledema. We then were immediately seen by a pediatric neurologist. They ordered a CAT-Scan which came back negative and conducted the spinal tap yesterday. He was diagnosed yesterday as having PTC. He is not overweight and has very little if any body fat. He is now on Diamox 250 mg three times a day. I would like to hear from anyone who has PTC or has a child who has been diagnosed. I would like any and all information that anyone is willing to share.
