In Reply to: "Gillliam Baret" disease? posted by Rachel Scotto on July 31, 2000 at 12:29:26:

: My aunt was diagnosed with a disease that I pronounce as "Gilliam Baret". However, I cannot find any information on the web regarding this disease. Nor have I been able to get her the appropriate care that she needs because many doctors do not know enough about this disease. Please help. She is getting progressively worse and needs the appropriate medical care. Any information will be greatly appreciated. I live in New York, if that is of any help. Thanking you in advance.

I am a former GB (Guillian Barre Snydrome)patient. I understand your frustration in attempting to get information regarding this disease. There is a national organization you can contact for information. It is the GBS Foundation, P.O. Box 267, Wynnewood, PA 19096, (610) 667-0131. Also check the website
www.webmast.com/gbs. Hope this helps.
